25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav opens at National School of Drama, New Delhi

Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated the 25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, described as the world's largest international theatre festival, at the National School of Drama, New Delhi on 27 January 2026.

The 25th edition of Bharat Rang Mahotsav (BRM) 2026, organised by the National School of Drama under the Ministry of Culture, opened at NSD, Mandi House, New Delhi on 27 January 2026. Marking 25 years, it is being held in its largest format so far, across more than 40 locations in India and one country on each continent, with 277 Indian and 12 international productions in 288 languages and dialects. Actor and NSD alumna Mita Vashisht is the festival's 'Rang Doot'. Brazil's student production 'Passado Presente Zenturo' makes its international debut at BRM, with shows in Bengaluru on 5 February and New Delhi on 7 February 2026.
