The 23rd National Level Meeting between India and Myanmar was held in New Delhi on 7–8 July 2026. The sides discussed cooperation against terrorism, insurgency, narcotics, arms, human and wildlife trafficking, and cybercrime, and agreed to boost intelligence sharing and operational coordination. Myanmar assured that its territory would not be allowed to be used against India's security interests. India said Myanmar holds an important place in its Neighbourhood First, Act East and MAHASAGAR policies, and both sides stressed completing the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project and the India–Myanmar–Thailand Trilateral Highway.
