On 29 November 2024, the 18th NCB International Conference and Exhibition on Cement, Concrete and Building Materials concluded at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, IICC Dwarka, New Delhi. DPIIT Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor Arti Bhatnagar presented the National Awards for the Indian cement industry and released the Bharatiya Nirdeshak Dravya (BND), an Indian Certified Reference Material of Gypsum Standard. It was produced by the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), India's National Metrology Institute, and is meant to substitute imported reference materials. The conference had 1,160 delegates and 150 technical papers.
