He said India had become the world's second-largest fish producer, aided by the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, and noted the extension of the Kisan Credit Card to fishers and fish farmers. ICAR Director General Himanshu Pathak highlighted 75 new fisheries technologies and improved fish varieties developed by ICAR.
