The 13th ASEAN–India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) Joint Committee and related meetings were hosted by India at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, from 6 to 10 July 2026 in a hybrid format, to review progress under the AITIGA Review. The Joint Committee meeting on 7 July was co-chaired by Additional Secretary Nitin Kumar Yadav of the Department of Commerce and Ms Mastura Ahmad Mustafa, Deputy Secretary General (Trade) of Malaysia's Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, with all ten ASEAN member states present. Three of the eight sub-committees — on customs procedures and trade facilitation, national treatment and market access, and rules of origin — met on the sidelines and were given time-bound deliverables. ASEAN accounts for about 11% of India's global trade, and bilateral trade reached USD 128 billion in 2025-26.
